The Artist Accelerator may be for you!

What is the Artist Accelerator Program?

A foundational business program custom designed for fine artists, artisans, musicians and writers. Established and emerging artists from around the region work together in a supportive and collaborative environment, gaining career-building skills that boost confidence, skills, and economic proficiency.

The Art Center’s mission is to foster creativity and engagement with the arts to inspire personal growth and community well-being. The Artist Accelerator Program (AAP) is advancing this mission through support of regional artists with career-building programming, mentorship, and increased opportunities for artists to be visible in the community. To accomplish this, we aim for in-depth understanding of the diverse needs of local artists, building a cadre of high-quality instructors, and the formation of venues for increased community building among artists and the communities in which they work.

What does this program offer?

Community: Join established and emerging artists and artisans in a supportive and collaborative community that is free of jealousy and competitiveness. Join us for community focused events like, Arts Alive! and Drink & Draws.

Advice: Join a network of mentors and fellow artist entrepreneurs who can help guide you towards your goals.

Curriculum: We bring in experts in marketing, accounting, website design, law, public speaking, and more to help you gain the confidence to make your arts business profitable. As a result, you receive alumni status that includes discounted future extension workshops.

Opportunity & Visibility: By completing the program you have the opportunity to show alongside two mid-career artists in our “The Art of Being an Artist” exhibit. As an alumni you’ll receive priority level on any future applications for participation in AAP programming and events.

By the end of the Artist Accelerator you will…

Know your why: Who you are, what you stand for, and why you do it.

Know your what and who: What you make and who you serve.

Know your how: How you serve your why, what, and who.
