Many people go through harsh experiences in their lives and some are more traumatic than others. Nandeeta uses her own personal experience with trauma and art as a coping mechanism to help with processing emotions.
I’d encourage people to paint whatever they feel like. I enjoy just playing with colors and trying new techniques whether it’s with different brushes or sponges. I want to give this freedom of space and time for them to let their artistic/creative side come out.
There are times even I’m upset and I’ll paint, but somehow I end up creating some of my most favorite pieces by painting my emotions in that moment.
