When thinking of Native American art, many viewers might immediately conjure images of traditional wood carvings, woven baskets, or maybe even a wool blanket.
Always Here seeks to re-interrupt that construct and change how viewers define Indigenous art. Created by Native artists with direct ancestral connections to local lands, Always Here focuses on the contemporary Native experience by responding to the past, present, and future of Native identities.
