Join The Arts Center (TAC) and Common Fields Saturday, September 21, 5 – 8 PM, for a creative community mixer with great music from the Church Ladies, and fun art activities with artists Jay Baker and Camila Godoy! Learn about upcoming events, TAC programming, and get to know other local makers. All media, practices, levels of experience, and peoples are welcome.
Camila Godoy Valdés is a Chilean artist living in Corvallis. She teaches art classes focused on inclusivity and playfulness in watercolor, colored pencils, inks, and mixed media. Camila also has a background as a speech-language therapist in Chile and is a TAC Accelerator Resident program graduate.
Jay A. Baker is an interdisciplinary artist whose work flows into three main tributaries: collage, music, film, and art-sci. Their work tends to revolve around relationships to place and how we build better futures. They work with The Arts Center, PreAtomic Records, Complete Sentence Lit Mag, and more.
Church Ladies is an alternative/neo-blues/funk band from Corvallis, Oregon. Influenced by the likes of Vulfpeck, Johnny Cash, The Alabama Shakes, Earth Wind and Fire, and Louis Cole which results in a unique, genre-bending repertoire.
