Using a mixed media booklet and a variety of collaging materials, you’ll bring your imagination to life through vibrant imagery. Fill your pages with drawings, colorful papers, magazine clippings, and more. Your finished booklet will be a unique space to capture your thoughts, ideas, and exciting adventures!

Illustrated Black Out Poetry

April 12, 2025, 1- 4 PM

The Arts Center is celebrating National Poetry Month with an illustrated blackout poetry event on April 12th. Participants will use recycled books to craft unique poetry by highlighting selected words and phrases, transforming them into new literary works. Illustrations can then be added to complement the newly created poems. Youth poetry will be exhibited in the Corrine Woodman Gallery 2, and selected works will be compiled into a zine featuring the creativity of young poets.

Mandalas

May 10, 2025, 1- 4 PM

In recognition of Mental Health Awareness Month, The Arts Center’s Second Saturdays at TAC will feature a mandala rock painting activity using acrylic paint pens. Mandalas are known for their meditative qualities, helping to reduce anxiety, encourage relaxation, and enhance focus. This activity is open to all ages and offers a creative way to engage in mindfulness through art.

Water Marbling

June 14, 2025, 1- 4 PM

The Arts Center will host a water marbling activity June 14, 2025, celebrating Pride Month with vibrant rainbow inks. Water marbling is an ancient artistic technique that originated in Japan, where ink floats on water to create unique patterns that can be transferred onto paper. This hands-on experience offers a creative way to explore a fascinating art form while embracing color and self-expression. Open to all ages.
