About the Workshop

Strong images of your artwork can make all the difference when submitting to galleries, art walks, and contests. Whether you’re using an iPhone or a traditional digital camera, this two-part workshop will help you capture high-quality photos of your art.

Led by local photojournalist and artist Jess Hume-Pantuso, this hands-on workshop covers the essentials of documenting, editing, and preparing images for submission. Learn practical techniques to showcase your work in its best light—no fancy equipment required.

What you’ll gain:

  • Best practices for lighting, framing, and background setup
  • Editing tips to enhance clarity and color accuracy
  • Submission-ready images that meet professional standards

Students should bring:

  • Smartphone (Android/Apple) or Digital Camera*
  • 2-3 artworks to photograph (Please inquire about 2D artworks over 3’x3′ and 3D artworks over 2’x2’x2′.)

About the Instructor

Jess Hume-Pantuso is an artist and photojournalist covering Linn and Benton Counties in the Mid-Willamette Valley, Oregon. Jess is a first-generation college graduate and received her BFA in Photography and Digital Studio from Oregon State University. After nearly 20 years of experience, Jess has gained extensive knowledge and expertise in photography. She seeks to share the magic of art and photography with others.
