Craig Hamnquist, retired after 31 years of teaching, now spends some of his time using his fabulous skills to support The Art Center in creating videos about artists, exhibits and events.

Craig describes himself as a “professional jigsaw piece.” He has taught English, speech, drama, stagecrafts, mime, computer literacy, computer graphics, photography and digital photography. Craig also volunteers at the Albany Civic Theater creating YouTube videos for their upcoming productions.

He creates video interviews with artists featured in ACT’s Artist in the Lobby program, volunteers his time creating instructional videos, as creating still galleries of student work at both Corvallis and Crescent Valley High Schools.

Craig spends his free time trying to wipe cat fur off his camera equipment.

“I think video is the next big marketing tool which the arts and crafts community needs to master. I would like to be part of that movement.”

We are so pleased that Craig has chosen to use his skills and talent in support of  The Arts Center.
