TAC: Why do you volunteer at The Arts Center?
Marcy: It makes me happy. I’m inspired by the artist’s work. I love the people, the energy, and the space is amazing! The gallery is a beautiful place to practice yoga.
TAC: What do you for The Arts Center?
Marcy: I lead gentle yoga classes twice a week in the main gallery.
TAC: How long have you been doing this?
Marcy: I’ve been a volunteer for The Arts Center since 2012. I started as an ArtShop volunteer, then we started Yoga in the Gallery in 2013.
TAC: Anything else you want us to know?
Marcy: I’m finishing my master’s degree in counseling, and I’m currently doing my internship at Western Oregon University. In the summer I lead yoga and horseback riding retreats at a farm in Scio, I also teach yoga and expressive writing workshops for wellness, healing and creativity. I’m truly grateful for the opportunity to share yoga at the Arts Center. It brings me so much joy!
