About the Class
Figure Drawing for Teens is a hands-on, skill-building class designed for young artists ages 13–17 who want to strengthen their drawing practice and learn how to work from a live model.
In this class, students will learn the foundational principles of figure drawing, including line, value, and form. Instructors will introduce a variety of charcoal drawing techniques and guide students through drawing from live models in a supportive, age-appropriate studio environment. Through guided exercises and observation-based practice, students will develop confidence, accuracy, and a deeper understanding of the human figure.
Throughout the course, students will build strong observational skills and learn how to incorporate figure drawing into their daily art practice to support growth across mediums such as painting, illustration, sculpture, and mixed media. This class is ideal for teens who are curious about drawing the human form, building technical skills, or preparing for more advanced art studies.
All materials are provided. Registration is required, and scholarships are available.
