About the Sanctuary

The Oregon Plastic Pink Flamingo Sanctuary (OPPFS) is a creative project in support of the The Arts Center. It’s purpose is to nurture and protect the endangered Plastic Pink Flamingo (Phoenicopterus roseus plastica) by providing a safe sanctuary for their nesting and foraging free from modern day predators. Resident flamingoes forage freely while living in their native habitat.  The Sanctuary is situated on private property along a beautiful tributary of the Mary’s River.

The plastic pink flamingo sanctuary project is a creative way to raise funds for The Arts Center. All proceeds benefit The Arts Center. We hope to catch your attention, make you smile & maybe donate a few bucks to help support public arts education programs because they matter! With your help, we can foster creativity and engagement with the arts to inspire personal growth and community well-being! Thank you so much for your support!
