About the Class

Bring a little whimsy to your workspace by creating a fuzzy Desk Buddy in this welcoming needle felting class for adults in Corvallis. Designed for beginners to intermediate artists, this three-session fiber arts workshop will introduce you to the fundamentals of needle felting and sculpting with wool.

Over three sessions, you’ll learn how to shape and sculpt wool roving with barbed felting needles, transforming soft fibers into charming creatures full of personality. With seven years of experience, instructor Kimberly Long will guide you step by step, sharing her favorite needle felting techniques to help your gentle forest friend or mythical companion come to life.

All materials are provided. Students are welcome to bring additional tools or fibers if they wish.

Students will learn to:

  • Safely use and understand different barbed felting needles
  • Build a solid core and sculpt simple shapes from wool roving
  • Add layers, details, and texture to create personality and expression
