Nandeeta Ramsey has painted for the past 15+ years off and on, and she has produced more work than ever in the past year. She enjoys different mediums, but focus mostly on acrylic painting. Ramsey paints to express herself, heal from past trauma, and to relax. She won an award in high school for a still life she painted for a an assignment.
Ramsey draws inspiration from her emotions, past trauma, and curiosity to explore challenges. She uses art as a healthy coping mechanism to heal from adoption trauma, mental health issues, and recovery from alcoholism. She wants to help others find a safe and healthy outlet to heal. She states, “It’s unfortunate we live in a world where there’s a stigma with mental health, and I want to help break that!”
