Cynthia Spencer sold her ceramic work in galleries across the United States, was an active member in the Willamette Ceramics Guild and Oregon Potters Association, and a pottery instructor for Linn-Benton Community College for over fifteen years. In 2003 she became the Director of Corvallis Fall Festival where she served 9 years before becoming the Director of The Arts Center in 2014. While at the festival she began facilitating 10-week artist marketing support groups to encourage artists to think about marketing as an extension of their creativity in the studio rather than a chore.

This lecture is part of the Artist Accelerator Program and Artist Residencies. The Artist Accelerator Program receives support from the Literary Arts Fund of The Arts Center’s Endowment Fund, James F and Marion L Miller Foundation, and The Oregon Cultural Trust, supporting 1,563 non-profit arts organizations throughout the state.
