About the Class

Join this adult figure drawing class in Corvallis and learn to draw the human form with guidance from a live model.

Led by award winning artist and educator Andrew Myers, this hands-on figure drawing class Corvallis offering is designed for adults of all skill levels. You will practice capturing gesture, proportion, and anatomy through short lectures, live demonstrations, and visual examples. In addition, you will have the opportunity to explore different styles and materials in a supportive environment. Whether you are just starting out or returning to the studio, this class will help you build both technique and creative confidence. This workshop takes place at The Arts Center in Corvallis, Oregon, a space that celebrates community and creativity.

About the Instructor

Andrew Myers is an Oregon based visual artist and educator who explores the concepts of instinct, extinction, isolation, and the conservation and preservation of wild places and creatures in work that is drawing-based with elements of installation, printmaking, sculpture, and animation. He received his undergraduate art degree from Eastern Oregon University and an MFA in drawing and painting from Portland State University.

Myers is a 2024 recipient of the Oregon Arts Commission Individual Artist Fellowship as well as a two-time recipient of the Career Opportunity Grant from the Oregon Arts Commission and the Ford Family Foundation. He has exhibited extensively both nationally and internationally and has been awarded numerous funded artist residencies. He currently teaches at Oregon State University.
