DESCRIPTION:The Willamette Abstract Group announces their Spring 2026 group show\, “The Wonderful World of Abstraction”. The show will run from June 3rd through July 31st at Pegasus Gallery\, 312 SW Madison Avenue\, Corvallis OR 97333. Regular gallery hours are 2:00pm – 6:00pm\, Tuesday – Saturday.\n\nA public opening reception will be held at the Gallery on Friday\, June 12th\, from 6:00pm – 8:00pm.\n\n“The Wonderful World of Abstraction” consists of recent works in a wide range of styles and mediums\, including painting (oil and acrylic)\, mixed media\, clay sculpture\, and photography.\n\nParticipating artists include Billy Biondi\, Mary Brutsaert\, Grant Cunningham\, Suzanne Getz\, William Gilmer\, David A. Goodrum\, Tricia Greaves\, Aspen McCallum\, Olivia Rivers Gandara\, Ian Z. Sample\, Patricia Thomas\, Koa A. Tom\, Lester Robert Trufant\, and Rachel Wood.\n\nThe Willamette Abstract Group (WAG) is a participative community of artists who choose to work in abstraction\, whether exclusively or occasionally. Their goal is to make abstract art more accessible and fun\, and to expose more people to the joy and beauty that can be found in abstraction. DESCRIPTION:Sewing Machine Use class\nLearn how to use your sewing machine correctly for a frustration-free experience!\nThis class is designed for the absolute beginner\, although anyone who has trouble using their machine will benefit.\nIf using your machine is stressing you out – if the needle or thread breaks\, if the thread gets tangled/knotted/looped\, if stitches do not form correctly – this class is for you!\nIf a child is old enough to want to learn how to use a sewing machine\, they’re old enough to learn! DESCRIPTION:Basic Sewing Skills Class \nLearn the basic information and techniques you’ll need to sew anything you want!  \nThis class is designed to follow my Sewing Machine Use class and/or for anyone comfortable using their sewing machine but not sure what to do with it. \nIf a child is old enough to want to learn basic sewing skills\, they’re old enough to learn! I do recommend a 1:1 session for kiddos under age 12\, so I can follow their interests and attention span more closely. \nWe will cover basic techniques like seam types\, edge finishes\, seam finishes\, and hems.
