Bright ideas that sparkle and shine!
Students will design, decorate and sew a usable felt pillow, wrist band, wallet or other felt light up projects that they wire themselves using conductive thread and LED’s that can be turned on and off with a fabric button they make themselves.
We’ll combine science and arts as we explore electric circuits and textile arts!
Students will learn about basic circuitry and the power of the invisible electron through designing and sewing fun felt projects that glow using conductive thread, LED’s and a coin battery. This project gives students an opportunity to think like engineers as they lay out an electrical circuit to power their designs.
