Art Curation/ Coordination Services Request for Proposals

ABOUT THE CALL

The City of Corvallis Parks and Recreation Department seeks a Consultant to serve as Art Curator/Coordinator for the selection of public art and interpretive elements to be permanently installed at Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Park  in Corvallis Oregon.

The selected consultant will play a crucial role in creating a vibrant art portfolio that reflects Dr. King’s teachings, local Black, Indigenous and Other Peoples of Color communities, and activism, inspiring community dialogue and action. The consultant will collaborate with a community-based Art and Interpretation Workgroup and the landscape architecture firm Juncus Studio to ensure seamless integration of art with park design. Additionally, the consultant will engage with the community through outreach efforts, including meetings and focus groups.

The RFP is open to all artists, curators, and arts professionals, with emphasis on applicants from historically marginalized groups.
