History of Video Games Art Exhibition

Benton Country Historical Society

DEADLINE TO APPLY: February 15, 2025

About the Call for Art

As part of our “History off the Clock” lecture series, the Benton County Historical Society is accepting submissions of 2D artwork that speak to the cultural significance of video games in our society. This exhibition is open to professional or amateur artists residing in Oregon.

This exhibition seeks to celebrate the history of video games. How has the invention and development of video games impacted our society throughout recent history? What role do video games play in your life, and how has that changed over time?

Artists are invited to submit no more than three works to our exhibition, to be juried by a panel of professionals. There is no cost to participate in this exhibition. Due to wall space constraints in the museum, only a limited number of artworks will be selected to show. Finalists will be notified of acceptance by February 20th.

This exhibition will be on view in the Corvallis Museum from March 5th – March 30th.
