Zoë Ball teaches hand building skills with clay in the popular Arts Center after school class, “Ceramic Buddies” for children, Grades 3-6.
She also teaches ceramics through The Arts Center’s arts outreach at the Oregon Veteran’s Home, Lebanon, and a variety of art media for youth at Jackson Street Youth Services. She looks forward to bringing creative arts experiences to more youth and adults in our community.
Zoë Ball is a graduate of the University of Idaho with a Bachelor’s of Science in Art Education. She completed her student teaching internship at Philomath High School and loved Oregon so much that she decided to stay. When not teaching or making art, she likes to travel and be outside. Her artistic training is primarily in ceramic sculpture and painting. She is also trained and has experience with mold making, printmaking, drawing and design. Her personal preference for art making is ceramic sculpture. Zoës’ work is often whimsical, imaginative and colorful. She also enjoy creating community artwork with team collaboration.
Her favorite art quote is, “Art is the only way to run away without leaving home.” — Twyla Tharp.
