Zel leads courses in painting, photography and construction/sculpture. One of her specialties is promoting use of recycled materials for creative sculpture projects. A long time teacher at The Arts Center, Zel provides engaging arts experiences for children and youth through classes and camps, as well as in outreach projects with schools and youth-serving organizations through the Young Artists Program.
Zell Brook earned Masters Degree in Fine Art in Sculpture, Painting, Photo, Drawing and Studio Arts from the University of Arizona and a BFA from Cornish College of the Arts.
She has shown her artwork in galleries and museums all over the country such as the Brooklyn Art Museum, colleges and universities, the National Press Club, and recently completed a show in Berlin, Germany.
She has had 15 art residencies, advanced painting and art experiences and fellowships around the country including The Corcoran Museum of Art in Washington D.C.
