About Light Holiday Show in the Main Gallery
November 8, 2019 – December 30, 2020
- Thursday, November 21, 5:30-7:30 pm, Reception & Corvallis Arts Walk
- Wednesday, November 27, 12-1 pm, Lunchbox Art Talk
About Light is a community-centered group exhibit of 50 area artists on a theme that represents “light” in many different interpretations. The show is a multi-faceted view into the minds of these artists, as they seek to answer the question, “What is Light?” The artists have found the answer literally, metaphorically, scientifically, both representational and abstract. Light can be the opposite: not dark, not heavy, not serious. The exhibit includes many interpretations in painting, photography, printmaking, ceramics, colored pencil and even via a kite by artist Carol Chapel.
About Light is an invitation to come together as a community. We thank participating artists for sharing their creativity during this season of celebration — whether Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, or Winter Solstice.
Works in the show are perfect holiday gifts! The Arts Center is proud to create opportunities to share heartfelt, meaningful artworks during the holiday season.
