The Arts Center’s vision, Arts at the Center of Life, is the basis of our Education program. Whether we are celebrating a variety of cultures through our Globetrotters program, placing artists in elementary school classrooms in Linn and Benton counties, or developing specialized arts education programs for high school youth in many alternative settings, we know that the arts deeply enrich our lives by offering tangible ways to express, understand and accept our world.
After School & Open Studio Classes
All art classes that take place in our fully equipped clay space, painting room, and dance studio. Choose from Early Arts Education options for 3-6 year olds or exploring different mediums such as clay, drawing, sculpture, fashion, and special cultural based interdisciplinary workshops for older children.
Globetrotters Arts & Culture Camps
Each year, more than 1,000 children are immersed in week-long summer camps and no-school day camps at The Arts Center. Participants are introduced to different cultures through arts classes such as Native American drumming, traditional Chinese dance, Indonesian shadow puppets, Irish Folk Tales, and East Indian cooking.
